To install Quickload, you will need the following information to access your database:Quickload's database can be accessed by using its native component, QuickLOAD (included). This component is the only program that can read and write to the database, as well as identify the proper file extensions for each device.There is also a QuickLoadDriver. This is a program that can be run from DOS command prompt. It allows users to read from and write to databases without having to have Quickload components available. This is useful if you have a batch file or other script that needs to access your database files outside of using Quickload on a regular basis or if you do not have a program or device available to run Quickload with. QuickloadDriver is available as a separate download from the SnX Software website under the "Files" section. The QuickLOAD Device Driver was written to export the Quickload Database from DOS based PCs before Windows was available as a standard component of all x86 computers. The Device Driver consists of a OS independent OS-independent OS-specific OS-specific OS-independent OS-independent OS-specific file which is used to transfer the database between devices. The multiple OSs are implemented using the WinDLL API running on Windows XP.The device software is only released as freeware. It is no longer supported for use on new computers and cannot be run under WINE or any other program that will disrupt the operating system, including other programs or backup utilities that reserve execution rights for themselves; however, it can still be used if you want to install it on an existing computer without interrupting other programs installed on your system.
